-Attend Mass: Part of what we teach our students in class is that Catholics are obligated to attend Mass, therefore their Mass attendance is crucial so that they make connections with what is being taught in class.
From this date on, no more than 3 unexcused Mass absences will be accepted
Sign student name and grade in when attending Mass (sign in sheets are near the entrance)
If students attend Mass at a church other than St. Michael’s, students must bring a bulletin
from that church and give it to their religious education instructor

-Attend Class: Religious education class is ONLY one hour a week.  This hour is filled with highly important religious knowledge for your students and for their faith formation.  If they miss class, they are missing out on ways to strengthen their faith.
From this date, no more than 3 unexcused class absences will be accepted
If students will be missing class for school related reasons, they must notify the
religious education instructors so that the assignments/lesson can be given to
   them ahead of time.

-Make up work must be turned in
Students and or parents will need to meet with the religious education teacher to discuss this.
-Prayers must be learned, they are given to students ahead of time
-Parent involvement in church events is highly encouraged
-Be in the state of grace before Confirmation date on April 17, 2016

-Sponsor
A person being confirmed needs to have a sponsor who can attest to the candidate's readiness to being confirmed. The sponsor:
-Must be at least 16 years old,
-Cannot be the parent of the candidate,
-Must have received all of the sacraments of initiation, that is, they must have been baptized, made their First Holy Communion, and be confirmed,
-Must be a practicing Catholic who is an example of what it means to be a Catholic, receives the sacraments, and attends Mass regularly. That means that they cannot be in an "invalid marriage" or simply "living with" some one.
The sponsor will need to present a letter  or form from their pastor to be a sponsor.
